Speaking Engagements

Sprague Theobald is the founder and owner of Hole In The Walls Production Company as well as Windrose Learning Ventures. He has won numerous awards as well as an Emmy for his documentaries. Mr. Theobald’s mission for his unique style states, “As a documentarian, I always focus on two goals; 1) Tell `the small story that in one way or another, effects us all, and 2) Take viewers to those places that perhaps they know little about and may never get the chance to experience themselves. I try not to necessarily weave the story as much as let it develop in front of my camera.  As a filmmaker, I feel it’s my responsibility to let the subject matter tell it’s own tale and try not to get in the way of its narrative.  Whether it’s the moving image or written word, I want to make a difference. If not for simply one person to sit in their seat after viewing one of my documentaries and softly say to themselves, “I never knew.”

His most recent venture was to complete the 8500 mile Northwest Passage with some of his family as well as additional members serving as his crew. Aboard his Nordhavn 57, Bagan, Hole In The Wall Productions became the first production powerboat to sail the passage. Sprague and his crew followed the same past as the doomed Franklin Expedition. Along the way, they were able to see signs of the lost expedition. Mr. Theobald has extensive knowledge regarding the history of the Northwest Passage. One of his main reasons for the expedition was to meet the people that live along the passage and have them tell their life experiences and how global warming is affecting the passage. Mr. Theobald has been featured in several magazine articles discussing his obstacles during the Northwest Passage voyage. At this time, Mr. Theobald is committed to producing a 2 air day documentary with CBS. He has recently signed on with Doug Grad Literary Agency to write a book regarding his Northwest Passage expedition.

One concern that is important to Mr. Theobald is children with Dylexia. Having been diagnosed with Dylexia himself, he experienced many challenges and obstacles in his younger years. He is available to speak regarding his personal obstacles, challenges, and coping skills that have helped him to achieve who he is today.

Mr. Theobald is available for talks and presentations about his Northwest Passage Expedition. For more information, please contact: Pamela L Wise 704-248-8041- Director of Public Relations with Hole In The Wall Productions`
